MICHELMAN ANNOUNCES SUBSTANTIAL GIFT TO SUPPORT COMMUNITIES, STEM, AND SUSTAINABILITY

$750,000 Gift Is Cornerstone of Privately Held Company’s 75th Anniversary

CINCINNATI, OH – October 29, 2024 – Michelman, the Cincinnati-based, global innovator in water-based chemistry, recently announced a $750,000 contribution that will be distributed across a variety of community-focused non-profit organizations, along with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) education programs and initiatives that advance sustainability.  The financial gift will be contributed through the company’s six global locations in honor of the company’s 75th anniversary and is in addition to Michelman’s longstanding tradition of philanthropy and giving back to the communities where it has a presence. Company associates will be actively involved in the giving process, selecting the non-profit organizations that will receive support from a portion of the gift reserved for their local communities.

The announcement coincided with the company’s thirteenth annual Commitment to Community Day, during which 450 associates from every Michelman location around the world volunteered at charitable organizations. In Cincinnati, Michelman leadership and associates volunteered at a variety of organizations including Easter Seals, Brighton Center, Last Mile Food Rescue, New Life Furniture Bank and United Way of Greater Cincinnati, among others, engaging in a wide array of hands-on activities including painting and repairing homes, packaging food and landscape/garden clean up.

“Giving is an essential value for our company,” said Rick Michelman, President and CEO of Michelman. “It’s important that we give our time, treasure and talent to the communities that have helped us grow and succeed, so that they can become even better places for people to live and work.”
