CINCINNATI REVEREND APPEARS IN OPRAH WINFREY NETWORK’S IYANLA: FIX MY LIFE

CINCINNATI, OH – February 6, 2020 – On Saturday, February 8, Cincinnati’s own Rev. Derek Terry of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Pleasant Ridge will appear on the OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network’s popular series, Iyanla: Fix My Life. Rev. Terry is an openly-gay, African-American clergyperson who leads a Cincinnati-based church that grounds itself in the vitality of social justice efforts and a firm belief in the acceptance of all people regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, or background. Rev. Terry will make his follow-up appearance on Iyanla: Fix My Life with a ‘where are they now’ episode, after his initial debut on the show in October of 2015 where he ‘came out’ to more than one million viewers on national television. 

Rev. Terry is a pastor, author and renowned speaker. He travels extensively preaching, teaching and lecturing on issues of spirituality, civil rights, race & social justice, income inequality, and courageous living. After Terry’s initial feature on Iyanla: Fix My Life five years ago, the new episode premiering this weekend will focus on the progress of his ministry, activism and personal life over the years.
