LAROSA’S KETTERING PIZZERIA TO CLOSE FEBRUARY 16

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Centerville and Englewood Family Pizzerias to Continue to Serve LaRosa’s Guests

CINCINNATI, OH –February 10, 2020– LaRosa’s, Inc. today announced to its local team members that its pizzeria at 2801 Wilmington Pike in Kettering will close permanently at the end of business on Sunday, February 16, 2020.  Opened in 2007, the Kettering pizzeria was a favorite to many. However, despite ongoing efforts to build sales at the pizzeria, lower than expected sales over time ultimately led to the decision to close it.  All 25 hourly team members from LaRosa’s Kettering have been offered employment at the Centerville and Englewood LaRosa’s; and its three managers have been offered positions at Cincinnati LaRosa’s pizzerias.

“We truly appreciate all of our current and past Kettering team members and can’t thank them enough for their dedication and support in serving the neighborhood for more than a decade. From the time that we opened Kettering, we were committed to making it a success. However, despite our best efforts, the Kettering pizzeria didn’t perform as well as we’d hoped. We’d like to thank our guests who supported us and hope they will visit us at Centerville and Englewood”, said Michael LaRosa, CEO of LaRosa’s, Inc.

LaRosa’s entered Dayton to fanfare in 2002 with the opening of its Centerville pizzeria at 291 E. Alex-Bell Road. That was later followed by LaRosa’s Englewood at 7712 Hoke Road in 2006, both of which remain open.

After February 16, LaRosa’s encourages guests who have dined-in or picked-up orders from the Kettering family pizzeria to visit the Englewood or Centerville pizzerias. “Our team members at those family pizzerias are eager to welcome our Kettering guests and to provide the same level of quality and service they are accustomed to,” LaRosa said.

LaRosa’s Gift Cards or Buddy Cards can be redeemed at any LaRosa’s pizzeria including Englewood and Centerville.  True to its tradition of serving communities where it does business, LaRosa’s will continue to support Dayton-area schools through Buddy Card sales and provide contributions to Dayton Foodbank through its Feed Our Neighbors In Need holiday program.
