CINCINNATI, OH – March 1, 2024 — Taste of Belgium, the Cincinnati-based eatery renowned for its Belgian-inspired cuisine, announces the return of its Belgian Gourmet Pop Tarts, inspired by a favorite taste from everyone’s childhood, back by popular demand. Taste of Belgium Gourmet Pop Tarts are a sweet, sophisticated indulgence “jam”-packed with fresh fruit preserves and all-natural fillings -- and topped with the uncanny ability to fondly reconnect to childhood—and all the happy memories that go with it, like eating pastries warm from the toaster while watching Saturday morning cartoons.
“We may be grown-ups but that doesn’t mean we don’t still have a love for the things that brought us joy as a child,” said Jean-François Flechet, Founder of Taste of Belgium. “These Gourmet Pop Tarts were created for the kid in all of us – inspiring nostalgia -- as a deliciously perfect way to add a little more fun to every day.” Gourmet Pop Tarts were discontinued during the pandemic due to supply chain and logistical challenges. “So many people told us how much they missed them, we knew we had to bring them back,” said Flechet.
Each Belgian Gourmet Pop Tart is made by hand from a rich, buttery pastry dough, filled with fruit preserves or chocolate and finished with decadent icing. Belgian Gourmet Pop Tarts are available in berry, lemon and s’mores, and are baked daily in limited quantities and available for dine-in or carry-out while they last during breakfast and brunch hours at all eight Taste of Belgium bistros.
