NEXT WEEK: THE OVER-THE-RHINE FILM FESTIVAL JULY 7-10

Tickets Live Online; Fifty Films Celebrate Diversity and Inclusion 

CINCINNATI, OH – June 29, 2022– The Over-The-Rhine film festival, presented by LADD, the leading diversity film festival in the United States, will showcase a variety of films created by those in the disability community or feature actors and actresses from the disability community. In its fourth year, the festival, July 7-10, aims to encourage conversation, engagement, and action through the vehicle of film.

            In addition to fifty films, the OTR Film festival, presented by LADD, will host special events such as morning breakfasts with Artistic Director tt stern-enzi, an Opening Night Festival, Concert with I Don’t Konform, Closing Night Party, Celebration of Ohio Storytellers Party, and events to recognize specific films. Each day features new films, events, and a schedule to reach a wide audience of film festival attendees.

            Following a highly competitive screening and selection process, The Over-The-Rhine Film Festival, presented by LADD, reviewed over one-hundred entries from around the globe.  This year, the major films shown will be Apple Original Films Cha Cha Real Smooth, Not a Hero, The Echo of the Epidemic, Rez Metal, Here. Is. Better., Exposure, and Why We Walk. There are also several film shorts, feature films, student, and curated films that will be shown throughout the four-day event.

            Films will be screened at The Art Academy of Cincinnati’s SITE 1212, The Woodward Theater and The Freedom Center throughout the four-day event in July. “This is our fourth year hosting the film festival and we’re thrilled to bring the community together and connect over differences in our shared humanity,” said tt stern-enzi, Artistic Director of The Over-The-Rhine Film Festival. “This festival is unlike any other in that our films focus on untold stories from marginalized communities.” stern-enzi is one of the most lauded Black film critics in the United States and is locally known as “The Movie Guy” on Cincinnati’s Fox19 television.
