DAY CITY HOSPICE ON GROWTH TRAJECTORY AFTER ONLY ONE YEAR IN MARKET

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Dayton-Based Hospice Care Provider Served Nearly 300 Patients & Hired More Than 60 New Employees in First Year of Operation

CINCINNATI, OH – August 7, 2020 – Day City Hospice, a Dayton-based end-of-life care service provider, is celebrating a successful first year in the Dayton area with its unique model of hospice care that puts unparalleled support for patients, families, and referral partners at the core of its operations. With this patient-focused model, clinicians focus on aggressively managing symptoms to keep patients comfortable and prevent recurrent hospitalizations, allowing them to remain at home as long as possible. During its first year of operation, Day City Hospice has cared for nearly 300 patients and their families. The Dayton-area care provider was established by parent company, Queen City Hospice LLC which operates Queen City Hospice in Cincinnati and Capital City Hospice in Columbus.

As one of the fastest growing hospice providers in the Midwest, Day City Hospice has hired more than 60 employees since inception with a continued focus on recruitment of the most highly qualified talent in the Miami Valley area. Day City Hospice and its parent company Queen City Hospice LLC credit the company’s exceptional growth to its dedicated, experienced clinicians who carry low patient caseloads allowing them to spend more dedicated time visiting patients. “With the support of exceptional staff under the leadership and guidance of Clinical Director Trish Theis, RN, Day City Hospice has established a new standard of end-of-life care in the Dayton community,” said James Vannelle, President, Queen City Hospice, LLC.  “We are proud to celebrate Day City’s remarkable first year and look forward to its continued growth,” he continued.

As a way to further its support of the local community, Day City Hospice purchased a large quantity of Girl Scout Cookies through a collaboration supporting Girl Scouts of Western Ohio and Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road, and will donate the cookies to Dayton area seniors in assisted living & nursing facilities.
