Stop Trying to Tell Us How to Quarantine

It’s ironic how a situation where literally no one knows the outcome has inspired EVERYONE to share their opinion about just that.

From people positioning quarantine as a time we all need to become better –– by working out, eating healthier, reading more, working more, studying more… To people who are identifying quarantine as a traumatic time where we need to just come out alive –– not better or worse –– just alive.

EVERYONE has an opinion and for some reason people really feel like they need to be heard right now. Maybe it’s their lack of human interaction, hard to say. People are even leveraging this situation to further their agendas, whether that be political, religious, organizational…

The best advice actually might just be to do what YOU need to do. If you need to stay busy –– then do more home workouts. If you need to distract yourself –– binge the heck out of Netflix and don’t look back.

This is not a one-size-fits-all situation, and I don’t care what the Forbes article you read said, you need to do what’s right for you during this time.

Create new habits, or don’t. Lose five pounds or gain ten. Get through this quarantine time in a way that makes sense for you and stop looking for answers because the reality is that it’s all speculation. Some people might convince you that they know what to do, but they’re really just guessing too.
