PETS IN NEED OF GREATER CINCINNATI AWARDED $50,000 JOANIE BERNARD FOUNDATION GRANT
August 29, 2017
Grant to Provide Continued Support of Veterinary Care for Cats
CINCINNATI, OH – August 29, 2017 – Pets In Need of Greater Cincinnati received a $50,000 grant from The Joanie Bernard Foundation to provide low-income families and individuals with veterinary care for their cats. With the mission to create a no-kill nation for cats, The Joanie Bernard Foundation has been a consistent supporter of Pets In Need since the clinic opened in 2013.
The grant received will allow Pets In Need to provide medical exams, vaccines, spay/neuter vouchers, and other necessary veterinary services to cats living in low-income households. Without this support, many families and individuals would be forced to surrender their pet to a shelter in the event it develops a health issue, due to the medical costs. Ann Hill, Pets In Need Executive Director, said, “The Joanie Bernard Foundation’s continued generosity toward our organization allows our families to enjoy the benefits of healthy and responsible pet ownership regardless of their income level. We are thankful for the foundation’s commitment to our shared goals.”
