TASTE OF BELGIUM RETURNS TO CLIFTON WITH NEW UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS BISTRO NOW OPEN

Two New Menu Items and Taste of Belgium IPA Available

Exclusively at University Heights Bistro, for a Limited Time

CINCINNATI, OH – December 14, 2023 Taste of Belgium, the Cincinnati-based Belgian-inspired restaurant group, has opened its newest bistro in Clifton after a nearly two year hiatus in the Clifton area due to the effects of the global pandemic. The new University Heights bistro at 165 W. McMillan and Clifton Avenue at The Verge near the University of Cincinnati campus and major hospitals in Mt. Auburn, is 3,700 square feet with a full-service bar and restaurant, and seating capacity for 112 people.  Taste of Belgium Uptown is the group’s first Cincinnati bistro that reflects its brand revitalization, with a laser focus on customer experience.

“The diverse audience drew us back to the Clifton area – from UC’s student body, to the healthcare professionals, to the residents in Mt. Auburn and the Gaslight District – we are thrilled to serve our Belgian-inspired and locally infused culinary experience”, said Jean-François Flechet, Founder of Taste of Belgium. “And with the Cincinnati Zoo, Nippert and FC Cincinnati stadiums nearby, our Uptown bistro is a convenient dining option before or after activities”, he continued.

New Menu Items & Taste of Belgium IPA Available Exclusively at University Heights Bistro

As part of the University Heights opening, and for a limited time, Taste of Belgium is launching two new menu items along with a proprietary Taste of Belgium IPA developed in collaboration with Musketeers Brewery in Belgium.  Exclusively available at the University Heights bistro, Taste of Belgium has created a version of its famous Prince Edward Island Mussels, Chorizo Mussels sauteed in white wine, garlic, onion, tomatoes, with local chorizo, cilantro and lime, and served with frites during dinner only.  And soon to be a new brunch favorite, “Not a Burrito” features local chorizo, Taste of Belgium’s breakfast potatoes and eggs wrapped in a sweet crêpe accented with jalapeno crema and pico de gallo.  Both new menu items pair perfectly with the new  5.9% ABV Taste of Belgium IPA.

All Taste of Belgium University Heights menu items and 24 draft beers are available for delivery through DoorDash and UberEats.  Taste of Belgium will provide full menu delivery service to local residents and businesses near the University Heights bistro when ordering online at www.authenticwaffle.com/order.

Taste of Belgium’s Chorizo Mussels, “Not a Burrito” and the Taste of Belgium IPA will be available at all other Taste of Belgium bistro locations beginning January 2, 2024.
